The Cabrini College Faculty Handbook compiles and sets forth procedural, policy, and contractual information that guides and determines faculty matters and assists faculty in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities.
The faculty, the College administration, and the Board of Trustees all have a role in the formation of policies affecting faculty members at the College.
Topics covered in this document include shared governance, academic planning, program review, academic honesty, student grievances, promotion and tenure, faculty grants and sabbaticals, professional development, ethics, salary, benefits, and confidentiality.
Many policies are developed through the collaboration of the faculty and the College administration and follow the procedures described in this Handbook.
The information included in this Handbook has been reviewed, endorsed, and approved by the faculty, the College administration, and the Board of Trustees, as appropriate.
Final authority for the approval of all College policies is vested in the Board of Trustees. The Board delegates to the President, as the chief executive officer, the power and responsibility to implement and enforce College policy.
