Strong community partnerships are essential to a Cabrini College education.
At the heart of the College’s groundbreaking new curriculum, Justice Matters, is an understanding that there is valuable knowledge within communities, and that community partners are critical co-educators, without whom Cabrini would be unable to deliver its educational mission.
With that understanding, the Wolfington Center has established two partnerships to build on our relationship with the College’s founding religious order, the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus:
Through these partnerships, the College seeks to model the kind of just relationship that Justice Matters challenges students to develop.
By focusing resources on deep relationships with one local community and one international organization, Cabrini hopes to participate more actively in the process of capacity building and systemic change.
These focused relationships—and the strong commitments they engender from partners—create dynamic and layered educational opportunities where students are able to learn from the community and see the impact of their work.
