How quickly can I complete a program?
There is no set time length for programs. Students work at their own pace, depending on program requirements and credits taken per semester. The typical student works full time and takes classes part time. Most students want to complete programs as quickly as possible. Many students take two classes a semester and one or two classes in the summer, which includes two six-week summer sessions.
Typical part-time student timeline:
- Master of Education (only): 20 months
- Master of Leadership: 20 months
- Teacher Certification including student teaching: 2 1/2 years
- M.Ed. & Teacher Certification with student teaching: 3 years
How much does it cost?
For the academic year from September 2012 through August 2013, tuition is $595 a credit or $1,785 per three-credit course. Most courses are three credits. Cabrini's graduate tuition is among the most reasonable in the region.
Is financial aid available?
Cabrini provides information and support for students interested in federal financial aid loans (FAFSA). The federal government provides abundant funding, including $20,000 a year for most students, and nearly everyone is eligible.

What is the deadline for applications?
Application deadlines are generally 10 business days before the start of a semester or summer session. However, students are strongly encouraged to complete their applications as far in advance as possible in order to receive their best choice of classes.
Classes begin four different times during the year:
- Fall Semester begins late August
- Spring Semester begins mid-January
- Summer Session I begins mid-May
- Summer Session II begins late June
If I have been out of school for a long time, will I be able to adjust to graduate school?
Those students who are most concerned about 'going back to school' are usually pleasantly surprised by their abilities and performance. Cabrini professors work closely with students in an effort to ensure student success.
What is the application and advising process?
The application process is streamlined and simplified in an effort to make it as convenient as possible for prospective students. Cabrini makes graduate advising readily available. Prospective students are requested to bring official (college-sealed envelope) or unofficial (photocopies) college transcripts to the advising appointment.
