Partnering with Parents offers parents of first-year students a series of free, interactive workshops to help navigate their students’ first year at Cabrini College.
The workshops address many topics, including first-year challenges for students, financing college, and what to expect when students move back home after their first year away.
Members of the Cabrini College faculty and staff will offer parents helpful strategies. Opportunities to meet other families add to this enriching experience.
Parents of first-year students will receive mailed invitations providing detailed information about each workshop, but please feel free to email parents@cabrini.edu with any questions.

Help your student manage first-year challenges, support your student’s integration into the Cabrini College community, and discover academic resources to assist your student in the learning process.
Topics for presentation and discussion include homesickness, housing, and academic support.

“Knowing the Nuts and Bolts of Financial Aid and Class Registration”

Learn how to help your student adjust to college life through getting involved, improving time management, and understanding the dos and don’ts of social media, among other tips.
