Anie Jamgochian ’14 Birthday: June 6
Peace! My name is Anie Jamgochian and I am a senior majoring in English, Religious Studies, and American Studies with a Social Justice minor.
I am 100% Armenian and I grew up in Long Island, N.Y., with my wonderful family of five (six if you count the dog!).
I am actively involved in Campus Ministry, Active Minds, Body Image Coalition, Theater, Community Service and Outreach, LEADStrong, and I am the founder and president of Animal Lover Activists.
This past summer, I participated in the service trip through Campus Ministry to Ecuador, Rostro de Cristo, which was an incredible life journey where I learned a lot about solidarity, community, simplicity and most of all the impact of being present with others.
After Ecuador, I traveled to Armenia through the Armenian General Benevolent Union internship that they offer for six weeks. While there, I was able to continue the valuable lessons I learned in Ecuador and practice a new way of thinking about how I live my life and how I live in the presence of the people surrounding me.
I was also placed to work at the zoo in the city of Yerevan, where I had the wonderful opportunity to build connections with various animals like llamas, camels, horses, deer, and goats! This was exciting for me and an incredible way to practice caring for animals in a personal way.
I am very blessed and excited to be a Peer Minister again this year because my faith has always been an important piece of who I am throughout all that I do, wherever in the world I may be.
Though I have many interests and goals in life, my faith has always been present and can be found at the heart of it all.
I look forward to continuing my spiritual growth as well as reaching out to other students and connecting with them to help guide them along their path, giving them the support they need throughout their own faith journey. God bless!

Jennifer Persia ’14Birthday: July 9
Hi! My name is Jen. I am a senior Elementary and Special Education major here at Cabrini College.
I grew up just 15 minutes away in Havertown, Pennsylvania. I started my involvement with Campus Ministry by reading and altar serving at Masses as a freshman.
My sophomore year, I attended Adventure Retreat and Project Appalachia. It was in West Virginia that I decided I want to be a Peer Minister. I enjoyed this experience so much I wanted to provide opportunities for others to have life-changing experiences.
By junior year, I had the opportunity to attend a trip to Rostro de Cristo in Ecuador. In Ecuador, I was able to immersion myself in another culture, meet new people, and learn more about life than I ever thought I would.
This past summer, I attend World Youth Day in Rio De Janiero, Brazil. I was able to participate in mass with Pope Francis and 3 million other youth. Following World Youth Day, I had the opportunity to attend Interfaith Leadership Institutes, an interfaith conference in New York.
At the conference, I shared my thoughts on my faith and learned about others values and beliefs. I am now actively involved in starting interfaith talk on campus by participating in Interfaith Club.
Outside of Campus Ministry I am involved in the Honors Program, LEADStrong program, Sigma Rho, Active Minds, and Alpha Lambda Delta. I have also been an Orientation Leader for the past three years.
I am a Peer Minister in order to help other students have a place where they can meet new people while growing in their faith.
Victoria Werring ’14 Birthday: October 3
Hola, amigos! My name is Victoria Werring, and I am a senior Social Work Major at Cabrini College. This will be my second year being a Peer Minister and I am so excited!
I have been involved with Campus Ministry for three years and it is a place that makes being at church and doing service fun.
It’s where I feel the most “at home” on campus. I have been on a couple of Campus Ministry experiences already, including Ecuador, New Orleans and Search.
I went to Ecuador two years ago during Christmas break, and I would describe it as being a life changing experience. As well as New Orleans which I attended last Spring break.
Even though I cannot speak Spanish, I tried my best to learn the language and loved every chance I had to talk to someone and to learn a little more about their culture.
New Orleans and their culture was amazing to learn and the people I met will hold a spot in my heart always. Search was another experience I will never forget.
This year, I will be a Search Team leader and Leading the Ecuador Trip, and I am excited to make both the retreat and the service immersion trip amazing so that others can feel and experience what I did.
Other than Campus Ministry I am also a member of LEADStrong, CRS Ambassador, and work at the Admissions Office as a Student Ambassador.
My involvement in Cabrini College goes beyond academics, and so far it has truly a rewarding experience.
