Welcome to Cabrini! New Student Orientation helps the newest Cavaliers become familiar with campus while gearing up for academic success.
This program is academic and social. Students learn about life at Cabrini and meet their classmates, as well as faculty and staff.
Cabrini offers a one-day Summer Orientation and this three-day Orientation before classes start in August.
The schedule might be adjusted, but the dates will not change.

8:00AM - 12:30PM: Registration & Move-In for Resident Students - Assigned Residence Halls
Students receive an email about the designated time they are alloted to move in.
8:00AM - 3:00PM: Breakfast and Lunch Available for PurchaseJazzman’s Café, lower level of Widener Center
8:00AM - 12:30PM: Faculty and Staff Welcome New Students in Residence Halls
9:00AM - 1:00PM: Optional Activities offered by the Campus Activities & Programming (CAP) Board, WYBF Radio Station, and more in front of the Rooymans Activity Center (RAC)
9:00AM - 5:00PM: Visit the Bookstore to purchase books or pick up pre-ordered books. 10:30AM - 12:00PM: Disability Resource Center Orientation
11:00AM - 1:00PM: Lunch Available for Purchase Cavs Corner, lower level of Founder’s Hall
11:00AM - 12:30PM: Registration for Commuter Students Jazzman’s Café, lower level of Widener Center
11:30AM - 12:00PM: Computer Skills Placement Test
Students who were unable to take the computer skills placement test during Summer Orientation should plan to attend this session.
12:45 - 3:00PM: Students Meet with Advisors and Orientation Groups
Students will go to the classroom noted on their Orientation nametag to meet their advisors and then join their Orientation Groups.
2:45PM: Class Photo - Dixon Athletic Field, next to the Dixon CenterOrientation Leaders will accompany students to the field for the class photo.
3:15PM: Welcoming Mass - Nerney Fieldhouse, Dixon Center 4:30PM: Matriculation - Nerney Fieldhouse, Dixon Center Matriculation is a formal ceremony to officially enroll the new class. Please plan to be seated by 4:15PM.
5:15PM: Family Picnic - The Commons Spend some relaxing time with your family before saying goodbye, and begin to meet some new friends!
6:30PM: Commuter Student Meeting - Jazzman’s Café Meet others who will be commuting and find out about services offered especially for commuter students.
6:30PM: Residence Hall Meetings Students will meet their Resident Assistant (RA) and other students living on their floor and in their building.
8:30PM: New Student Activities Meet other members of the Class of 2020, find common interests with one another, and have fun!
10:00PM: New Student Evening Event
All campus offices will be open for regular business hours.
The Cavalier Express Center will be open for regular business hours to answer any questions students may have with regard to their bill, financial aid, etc.
Visit Public Safety to have IDs made or the Bookstore to purchase books and other supplies.
The Mail Room will be open for new resident students who have questions about their mailbox and new address.
Representatives from the Admissions Office will be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions.

10:00AM: Orientation Group Meetings
10:00AM - 1:00PM: Orientation Program Rotations Orientation Leaders will assist students with their rotation and where they need to go.
Rotations will include brunch, a tour of our beautiful and historic Mansion that you don’t want to miss, and interactive activities.
1:15 - 2:15PM: Real World Cabrini & Orientation Leaders Skits - Grace Hall
Learn about some real things that have happened on college campuses and how you can best prepare yourself for new challenges and uncertain situations.
2:15 - 3:45PM: Real Talk Cabrini - Grace Hall and Widener Center Lecture Hall Orientation Leaders will inform students about which location to attend.
Real Talk is an interactive, dynamic, powerful program for students to hear from peers about their experiences and discuss and learn from each other.
4:00PM: Not the Standard Campus Tour!
Prep for classes and other important campus resources now that you are officially here. This is not your standard campus tour, so don’t miss out. Learn about key resources to help you be a successful Cavalier!
5:00 - 6:45PM: Dinner
Students will meet with their Orientation Groups when not dining.
7:00PM - 12:00AM: New Student Evening Events
