Healthy Monday is a non-profit public health program for students, staff, and faculty founded in 2005 in association with Johns Hopkins University, Columbia University, and Syracuse University.
The goal is to end chronic preventable disease in the United States by offering a weekly prompt to start and sustain healthy behaviors, intentions, actions and initiatives.
Program Philosophy: Why Monday?
For most Americans, the week begins on Monday. On Monday we move from the freedom of the weekend to the structure of work or school. We set our intentions for the next six days, plan ahead, and evaluate progress.
From an early age, we internalize this rhythm, and studies suggest that we are more likely to maintain behaviors throughout the week if we begin on Monday. That makes Monday the perfect day to make a change for your health and the health of our planet.

What's the Healthy Monday Challenge?
Feb. 4th – Apr. 14th, rewards given out the week of April 15th.
A 10 week self-monitored wellness program, using every Monday as the day to set your health-related goals for the week!.
- Pick up a starter packet, set your goals and track your progress. We'll provide weekly tips, resources, and motivation.
- Starter packets are available at the Health Hut or Wellness Education office (Founder's 102).
- Email wellness@cabrini.edu for inter-office packet mailing.
- When your schedule allows, join us for fun, health-enhancing programs, complete with giveaways and prizes!

Move-It Monday - Be Active every Monday! (Here are some options!)
Monday Mile Walk Around Campus:
Join Jess Huda for a mile walk, meeting at 11:30 a.m. at the Cavs Corner entrance, every Monday from Feb. 4th through Apr. 15th. Join the most Monday Miles walks this semester and win a $50 gift card!
Fitness Center Classes (Every Monday, Dixon Center/Aerobic Room):
- 9:00 - 10:00 am Pilates
- 12:30 -1:30 pm Mat/Ball Pilates
- 5:00 - 6:00 pm Zumba
- 6:00 - 7:00 pm Yoga
Live And Learn Series:
Take a break from 12 to 1 p.m. to improve well-being on a variety of topics. Increase your "wellness IQ" at these brown bag programs, with giveaways and door prizes!
Make-It Monday Cooking Demonstrations:
Join a talented Dining Services Chef to learn delicious, healthy options in the kitchen! Demos are 12–12:30 p.m. at Cavs Corner Action Station.
Meatless Monday and Featured Foods in Cavs Corner:
