The mission of the Division of Student Life is to develop students as socially responsible leaders prepared to promote positive change and be engaged citizens of their communities.

Christine A. Lysionek was appointed as the Vice President for Student Development at Cabrini College in February 2003, and has been serving in that capacity since April 2003.
She provides leadership and direction for several areas of the College including: Athletics & Recreation, the Center for Student Engagement & Leadership, Residence Life, Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Public Safety, Dining Services, Judicial Affairs, and Student Diversity Initiatives.
Her Division is also responsible for several campus-wide programs including New Student Orientation, Homecoming, and Commencement.
Dr. Lysionek came to Cabrini College from Villanova University, where she served for 22 years as the Assistant Dean of Students (1981–90), the Managing Director of the University Sesquicentennial anniversary celebration (1991–93), and Director for Residence Life (1993–2003).
Prior to her time at Villanova, she served as the Assistant Director for Student Life at LaSalle University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Lysionek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Counseling from the State University of New York, College at Brockport.
In 1993, she earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, in 2007 completed the Institute for Educational Management program at Harvard University, and in 2010 attended the Institute for Administrators in Catholic Higher Education at Boston College. She is an active member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and the American College Personnel Association.
Dr. George Stroud has served as the Dean of Students at Cabrini College since July 2009.
In this capacity, he provides leadership to Counseling and Psychological Services, Heath Services, Residence Life, Student Conduct, and Student Diversity Initiatives.
In addition to providing leadership to multiple departments, Dr. Stroud also serves on several division and campus wide committees including: Student Development Assessment Team, Inclusivity Council, Student Threat Assessment Team, and Academic Review. Prior to being appointed as the Dean of Students, Stroud served as the Director of Residence Life at Cabrini College from 2003 to 2011.
In this role, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations for the department which included supervision of professional and para-professional staff, budget management, and collaborating with Facilities and Public Safety to ensure the safety and security of the residents.
George also has experience working at other institutions including the University of Pittsburgh, Slippery Rock University and Carnegie Mellon.
George holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Widener University, as well as a BA in Communications and a MA in College Student Personnel from Slippery Rock University.
Joan Kleckner serves as the Assistant to the Vice President of Student Life, giving support to Dr. Christine Lysionek and Dr. George Stroud, Dean of Students.
Joan has worked at Cabrini College since 2005.
Prior to her tenure in Student Life, she provided support to the Office of Mission Integration and Institutional Advancement within the College. Joan received a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management at Cabrini.
She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Leadership at Cabrini College.
