printing and scanning

The majority of library computers are connected to network printers. To discourage waste, students are given an allotment of free printing and charged for printing above that amount. The printing policy was developed by the Information Technology and Resources Department. Students can check their print usage at:

Color Printing
A color printer is available in the library's 1st floor computer area. Students must use the designated computer to print to the color printer and will be "charged" 5 pages from their printing allotment for every one page printed to this printer, regardless of the amount of color used for each job.

A scanner is also available in the library's 1st floor computer area. The scanner may be accessed from the student computer closest to the reference desk. There is no charge for saving or emailing scanned items, regular printing charges apply if you print the scanned materials.
